Initiative National Ordinance amending the Penal Code in connection with the increase of the maximum penalties for rape, the introduction of a sex offender’s registry and the introduction of the possibility of termination of pregnancy as a result of rape (Parliamentary Year 2019-2020)
This draft intends to increase of the maximum penalties for rape seeing the impact the deed has on the victim on one side and the deterrent effect a high penalty has on the other side, the introduction of a sex offender’s registry in order for everyone to know who has been convicted of a sex offense and the introduction of the possibility of termination of pregnancy as a result of rape or due to serious medical reasons.
